filth

has a year even passed since the manhunt? do we really need a tv-movie to relive the drama that ensued when these psychos ran around shooting? the story isn't even over yet, theyre still waiting to go to court. what can this movie possibly offer? its a grab for money before people forget the event entirely. i'm amazed how quickly people were able to cash in on this. i'm glad nobody's making a ratings-grabbing film about when my father/son/friend/whatever was murdered...

burninating the countryside...burninating the PEASANTS

I would ahve to agree with you there. The last one they did on the North Hollywood shootout probably brought them enough ratings that they just had to exploit another one.

Yeah, I would have to agree with you as well, it hasn't even been that long since the actuall events and already there is a movie. Is this a really good idea especially witht the recent copy cat shootings in West Virginia. Besides the sniper shootings did not even take place in D.C. just in Virginia and Maryland so why the hell is it called the D.C. sniper? Anyways this movie I will expect will be total BS and will probably be very disturbing as well. To finish I must say a good job to USA Network for further putting a dent in the to far media, so let BS reign as the BS world of TV is, go ratings.

reply

Well, they've always called the sniper the DC sniper. Most of the shootings took place around the DC beltway, so the tag just sort of stuck. Even though only one shooting take place in actual Washington, DC ....

Anyways...

Other than the fact that this movie came out too soon, I thought it was really good. It just got better and better as it went along.

I liked the movie and didn't think it came out too soon

it was very well made. I was expecting a movie that was made to get ratings, but it was done very tastefully, it's not gory and most of the shootings are off camera. I would rather them have waited a few years though.

The one shooting that "occurred" in DC actually happened in Maryland and the guy fell into DC. And the Beltway never goes into DC, 295 does.
