I don't understand it at all.
shareWell, I took it to be that he went back and rescued the girl, came back with her to our time, and then changed history so that he passed to his teammate who scored the equaliser in the match. The girl was in the crowd cheering him on, so presumably they remained together.
shareWhat doesn't make sense is, if his mother was basically fired from her job, snuck in to the lab illegally to save him, and all the authorities were standing at the door ready to break in and stop her when she sent him back again....why would she think that there would be any chance that she would be able to use the equipment again to get him back again?
Also, does that mean that he hung around the 12th century for 3 more weeks? Why would he think he could handle 3 weeks when there were people trying to arrest him when he was leaving the first time?
