Oh, dear...

Geez, double-feature this with Michael Moore Hates America, and the right-wingers will be set in their idyllic vision of the U.S. Or should I say "America," like everyone else?

Boy, I always wanted to start an incendiary topic on the IMDb boards. Now I have. And it feels kinda cathartic. Still, the film looks interesting enough... I'll see it if I have cash to burn and want to see some pretty pictures of mountains and freakishly happy white people. LOL

...Other than starting a stupid topic on imdb.

I think this post shows how utterly lame this movie looks....blah, is this really the best the right can muster?...oh yeah, they also think Jonah Goldberg is just soooooo smart and Rush'll get over those pills (but f those blacks that use pot, they should fry!)...out

Lol! Since when is Disney the "Voice for the Right"? Please!

reply

I didn't say disney is the "voice of the right"...however they do the right's bidding by attempting to block the release of Fahrenheit 9/11 and Eisner mostly throws for the right, so since he's the CEO of disney I suppose you could go one step forward from what I said and go your direction...however, I was talking about the movie, which is done for the and by the right...out

"Eisner mostly throws for the right"

Are you nuts? Eisner is a left-wing democrat. He contributed hugely to the Clinton campaigns and made his good friend George Mitchell (former Dem Majority leader - another partisan lefty - during Bush I's term) Chairman of the Board of Disney.

Please have a clue before you post.

What are you talking about? This movie is not political. It celebrates the greatness of America. Why is that political? Why is this movie considered a mirror image of F-9/11? It is just about how wonderful the country we live in really is. How is that the "Right's response to F-9/11"? If so, everyone should move to the right. Why do you all hate America so much (like Michael Moore)?

Are you admitting that Michael Moore's film really is un-American? Is that why Disney should have carried both F-9/11 and America's Heart and Soul? One is anti-American and one is pro-American?

If so, I agree. Which movie would you like to see most? If you said F-9/11 then...you might be a commie. Yes, a communist/socialist that doesn't like America being great. Yeah, the conservatives are insidious...celebrating America's greatness is outlandish and horrible!!!

Also, Michael Moore did not have Disney's backing BEFORE he even made the film. Why? Because Disney did not want to distribute a political movie (even one as plagued with lies and half-truths as F-9/11 is). They typically stay away from political movies...why wouldn't they? Again, why would ANYONE actually believe that America's Heart and Soul is political just because it celebrates the greatness of living in this country?

do you always bullet the talking points sent out by Bill and his cronies at Fox or are you just regurgiating for the fun of it?...and you're wrong, Mr. America Moves Forward, Disney DID back Moore's film...via MiraMax ya big dumbie, but when pressed by Jebbie boy, Eisner balked...you know well and good that America's Heart and Soul is being pushed as the Fahrenheit 9/11 opposite by their marketing people and by the right, of which I never said that it was, I just think it's lame that the right and morons like you defend such a vaccuum of film as this great laud to America...the funny thing is your irony here, you have to rely on the "hates america" claim which is some a vicious lie instead of realizing that the "greatness of living in America" is being able to question our government and protest when needed...but for some reason, your righties hate that, which leads me to wonder who in truth, hates america...but by all means, continue with your oral bowel movement, I enjoy flushing it...out

Oh, there'll be plenty of freakishly happy black people, just no gays and lesbians according to the newspaper review I just read. It dismissed the film as feel-good fluff which is "relentlessly macho," but the critic was obviously coming from a completely liberal viewpoint (as is their right, just don't try to pass it off as objectivity). Anyway, they said the best part of the film, where it loses the trite macho jingoism, is when dealing with a father/son in the Boston Marathon (son has cerebral palsy). Frankly I saw the trailer and it looked pretty corny, but it supposedly has some great photography and the Boston Marathon part does sound interesting. I'm sure it's harmless anyway, not on par with Michael Moore Hates America, for which I don't have high hopes. It sounds like it has all of Moore's flaws without his virtues.
