'This movie was boring.'

You know, this movie's purpose is not to have you on the edge of your seat. It's not supposed to assault your senses with special effects or action. It's purpose is so that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy it. If you find it boring, or can't get anything out of it, then you should re-evaluate your outlook on life. It's a feel good movie about people doing what they love and finding a place in this world, it is irrelevant that it takes place in America. However, since it does, a great majority of people feel the need to bash it. Additionally, how can you say "I appreciate the director and his love for America, but I don't like the movie."

...

Are you kidding me? And I don't want to hear the excuse "waahhhh I just came home from working and I was tired." You sound like you have wimp syndrome. You don't have to think hard and concentrate on this film. I certainly was tired when I watched this film, because I too spent the day working. But I was able to relax and enjoy it. Albeit it did make me more sleepy by the end, but if you listen to music to make you fall asleep, then hasn't it accomplished it's purpose? It doesn't mean it's bad music. Everyone is so angry these days, and it shows because people are still negative about a movie which ironically is supposed to make you feel the opposite.

I would love to hear everyone who bashes this movie's idea for an inspirational film, since this one is OBVIOUSLY propagandist/nationalist. I have an idea, let's make a gloomy movie for all the pessimists out there about why everything is bad. Let's also have a lot of action, such as people dieing or getting shot, so it won't be boring. Let's also have it take place in Europe or Africa because anything good in America is obviously bad/boring. Oh, and be sure you are in a perfect physiological state so as to not miss any of the oh-so-simple messages a first grader could understand!
