The maid

I thought it was pretty frigging pathetic in the episode where they hired a maid, and she worked like crazy cleaning up their mess of a house, and at the end after Nick paid her, he started questioning if she really 'deserved' that much money. She cleaned that dump top to bottom, and he was like hmmmm, seems like an awful lot to get paid to clean someone's house. Um, your house is huge, and also a pig stye. I also remember her carrying out tasks that aren't always in a basic maid's job description, like organizing Jessica's closet and sorting their dirty laundry. Jeez, you paid her less than your monthly hair product allowance, fool ! Get over it!

I'm watching the show right and and this was one of the main reasons why I came to this board, because I wanted to point that out too.

Ok so if the task is so easy then why can't they do it themselves? Clearly for 6 months folding clothes and throwing away trash was WAY too much work for them. The house was a mess, trash everywhere and dirty laundry everywhere. The maid really had to do a little more than fold clothes and throw away trash. We're talking about vacuuming, organizing, doing laundry, deep cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and basically every corner of the house. So yeah, I think $20/hour specially in CA is not that much.

Now these celebrities pay make up artist and hair stylist like $60/hour minimum and that's to follow them around. I mean everything can be looked as too much paid when you think about it. Can't you apply your own makeup, do your own hair or simply dress your self? But celebrities are willing to pay for that, so they should not complaint about paying someone to clean their huge house.
