Although his screen time was very brief (I think he appears in a total of three scenes), I found his character quite poignant. He was hopeful with an air of sadness about him that I would loved to have seen more of. I was very satisfied with Reese ending up with him at the film's conclusion.

hmmm... i kinda felt disappointed, i mean, sure yeh them getting back together represents the change in old Reese, but i was quite disappointed that we never had the opportunity to explore the depth of Rob's character, i wanted him to be explained more rather than just a guy/ex-boyfriend who misses her. Other than showing the evolution of Zooey Deschanel's character at the end, i really felt he served no purpose to the film. The fact that his character wasn't really explored made me feel qutie unsatisfied with the ending. Entertaining film though.
