the thing that got me was

when the people were walking through the woods searching for her, they were sooo close to where Elizabeth was being kept. their camp was literally feet away, yet none of these people saw them, and Elizabeth didnt shout or anything. if she had made a whimper, they would of heard her, but she didnt draw any attention to her. she could of saved herself so much trouble if she had just made some noise. and i dont get how no one saw her when she was so close to where they were looking.

You need to keep in mind that we're talking about a young and VERY sheltered girl.

She was terrified and didn't know what the outcome would be if she were caught.

Additionally, she was raped daily (which was not shown in the film) so she already knew that her kidnapper was violent

Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.

He threatened her, if you escape I'll kill all your family and said he had people surrounding her house.
