This is the only Quebec movie that I like.

Yes.
Finally they dumped the swearing aside and decided to try making a plot.
The rest of the Box-Office ''in your dreams'' hits are pretty crappy in my taste.
Varying from the braindead humor and low-end jokes of the Elvis Gratto/Les Boys-ish generic movies or the blatantly boring Invasions Barbares and Seraphin.
I do like Sur Le Seuil for it's originality in the local movie crowd.
Nice cinematography, the story was allright and the acting was fine, and for once it's not overhyped by the media due to the lack of variety of the recent movies.

You guys should watch "Un crabe dans la tĂȘte" or "Maelstrom" before making fools of yourselves. Of course "Les Boys" is a load of crap, and Elvis Gratton makes no sense if you are not aware of the political situation Canada was going through in 1985 (criticism against the Federalists in the 80's, but let's not talk about the sequels that sucked a$$). Should I incompass all American movies under "Action Jackson" or "Gigli"? Have you seen C.R.A.Z.Y.? Or have you seen "Requiem pour un beau sans coeur"? Maybe you should watch Robert Lepage's "Le confessional". Maybe you should be more open-minded.

Stop yo' jibby-jabba foo'!

I completly agree wiht Saltedballs! Most movies in Quebec are doomed by publicity, it is a propaganda scam of star system that only come to eyes when your not opened mind. Actually, i liked the movie, but I dig the book with more envy.

Quebecois movies, more often than not, are quite good. This was a solid one and two of my favourites are Decline of the American Empire and the Barbarian Invasions. Quebec tends to produce much better movies than Hollywood does.
