Plot Hole

I liked this movie, but there is something I never understand...
Why didn´t they based the entire movie in a season. Why would they sign Gavino if there is only 4 games left of the season, and even do if they signed him they will still need to wait till next season to use him, (example: Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich).
And also even with Glen Foy´s help it is practically imposible to reach the starting XI of Newcastle in one month especially if you have never played. It would have been way better if they started at the beggining of the season

It needed to be the middle of the season in order to see the transformation that Santiago and Gavin brought to the team from where they were.

still imposible. At most it should have started in winter transfers, but still it would be better to start the movie at the beggining of the season because it would not only be more realistic but it could also help for a better character development

but they stated during gavin harris press conference that there are only 4 games left in the season, they even said that it was imposible to win the championship since matematically the highest place they could reach was the 4th place and win a place for the next champions league

It is quite a big plot hole plus another is come the sequel both Santi and Harris join Real Madrid i believe in the summer. Why on earth would Real Madrid sign two players that have played less than four games the previous season and only recently joined newcastle!

Its a good movie but everything happens too fast.

Another slight plot hole to mention, when Santi arrives in London he's got to get to Newcastle by train, but we arrived here he had no money, so where do he get the money from to get a train ticket from London To Newcastle!? and in 2005 it would cost around £150!
