Sex scenes?

I am very interested to see this movie. I've always wanted to see a movie about a relationship between an Enlgish women and an Indian. As a writer, it's one of my common themes in stories. I am curious, since I saw the movie is rated R, are there sex scenes in the movie? and if so are they detailed? Being sixteen I must figure out a way to get this movie without my parents knowing.

Yep there are some sex in it. Its not really really graphic, but they are fairly explicit!

Seriously, what's the problem? The film's got nothing in it I'd define as inappropriate, but then again - I'm not a religious bigott ;-)
Just thought I'd tell you that I saw it last week after my girlfriend got is on a DVD that came with a magazine she bought (in Sweden, and I can't remember the name of the magazine right now). Just wanted to illustrate that it shouldn't be hard to come by.

well, i don't know if you had already lost (or had) the opportunity to see this movie, but here goes my opinion about the sex scenes... they are intense but really artistic at the same time. it's not cheap sex and i guess it is very important on the process of showing to the viewer the depth of the relationship that the main characters build along the movie. it is completely worthwhile, i guarantee. :D

How can you say that paks are sexier than indians(that's like saying japanese ppl are sexier than chinese)? You just can't say that, coz not everyone is the same....it's just not right to judge races(or countries) like that.

This is a great romantic movie. There is more to the explicit sex scenes in the film.It has a great story about inter-racial romance and great acting by female lead Eva Birthistle.

A cunnilingus scene and in Germany it gets a "6" certificate? This is deplorable! I wouldn't wanna watch this movie with my kid thinking it's safe and then have to endure a scene of oral sex! What's wrong with those people?!

reply

what's wrong with YOU?!?!?!? there's nothing to see in the film a 6-year-old would not be able to handle. It all happens at the back of YOUR head because you get the implications. Rather have them watch deplorable cartoons with violence galore? what a country you live in .... Same went for 'Perfect opposites' and 'Keinohrhasen'. I liked the Loach interview on the DVD, he mentioned christian terrorism in the context of the priest's performance in the film ... :-)))

Problem is that the youth is constantly oversexed which leads many teenagers to believe that sex is harmless fun while with violence everybody knows it's harmful and therefore depicted violence in movies is not as dangerous as sex. Thus, I do not want my kid to see such graphic sex!
