I saw the trailer.....wow

From the trailer this looks like a real bad movie.....my prediction-one of the worst movies in 2004

reply

whatever give it some time it will be good.

reply

Didn't even see the trailer, but I saw Ja-Rule was in the cast, so it's officially going to be one of the worst of 2k4.

Stephanie McMahon: "I always say 'Once is not enough'."
RVD: "Yeah, I heard that about you."

reply

People find that more than 2 black people are in a movie, and automatically it's bad...

Soul PLane looks funny but this is not funny at all.

reply

not true at all, besides Ja-Rule is as bad an actor as he is an MC...

Shut up right now! Thats the same logic the posters for Catwoman used! I saw that trash.... The fact is Ja Rule can't act, not cause he's black, because he just can't... What kind of messed up logic do you have?!!!

No movie can possibly be worse then SoulPlane. Besides, only Will Smith and Ice Cube are good rappers turned actors (as in they can do drama, the genre of movies that takes skill to pull off).

reply

If you read the plot... it sounds so gay, deffintly one of the worst movies of 2k4

You mean that Baby Geniuses 2 is better than Soul Plane?

I happen to think that this movie looks good....I'm looking forward to seeing it next weekend. Out of the 4 movies coming out this Friday, this one looks the best.

Vincent : Yo, homie. Is that my briefcase?

reply

This...thing. It just...wow.

This movie makes Catwoman look like Citizen Kane.

Or Spiderman 2 for that matter. It looks so bad I'm surprised Cuba Gooding Jr. isn't in it.

Try picturing Orson Welles in a tight leather Catsuit and you might change your mind.

Mos Def is the best and only rapper turned actor.

reply

well whatever Mos Def is the best and only actor/rapper.

reply

What about Ice-T? He does all right on SVU. I've only seen Mos Def in one thing, he was all right but certainly not the only and probably not the best either.

I have made A list of all the actors turned rappers or rappers turned actors.I usually dont come here and rant but if im on here an something I feel very strongly about is being talked about I usually have to say something about it. Now this is not a best/worst list this is my list I made up and to me it's just A review of all the actor rappers or rapper actors.

1.Will Smith-Excellent performance in at least to movies iv'e seen Ali of course and six degrees of seperation excellent performance. And someone said he can only act in sitcoms ummm the only sitcom iv'e seen him in is Fresh Prince.

2.Ice Cube-Damn good actor A few overlooked performances Boyz In The Hood and The Glass Shield.

3.Mos Def-He is the only one getting his props for his work although I am extremely happy for him I dont think he's the only one who's doing a good job out there. Now im not one of those people who say hell giv em all oscars no HELL NO!!! not every one deserves an oscar. But damn cant they even get an mtv award or something.

4.Ice T-He does a good job in everything iv'e seen him in especially New Jack City.one of my all time favorite movies and one of the most overrated.

5.Tupac Shakur-What makes me mad about him is not only was he an excellent actor but he wasn't even done rising yet as an actor. He had so much potential he could be making 20 million a movie because he had the rare gift that alot of acotrs dont have which is the ability to play different parts an not have them be the same part over and over again.

6.Eminem-Not much to say you all seen 8 Mile i just put him here really so the white people on this site wouldn't lynch me for not having a white guy on my list.I just know some P.O.S. is going to say 'Hey you Forgot Eminem" No I did not forget Eminem and he's on my list Kok Sucker.

7.Method Man-the only reason MM is up here is because he's smart he knows he cant act and in an interview I was reading about him he said that he knows that he's from the street's which is why he knows he wouldn't do good playing a doctor or somthing of that calibur.Which is why he sticks to playing in parts he knows like hustler's and things like that. You people might not think so but it makes since when you think about it.

Now this would be the part were I name of all the worst acotrs but since this is not a best/worst list I wont do that but I will name the actors who haven't quite reached the calibur of an Ice Cube or an Will Smith.

8-Nelly-Damn umm I would say stick to rapping but you suck at that too ummm..

9.Snoop Dogg-His Training Day cameo was the most overacted P.O.S. Iv'e ever seen he was only in the movie for like 15min an I thought he sucked.

10.Ja Rule-He has that Nelly syndrome he sucks at acting and rapping so all I can say to you Mr. Atkins is Keep hope alive and maybe one day you will wake up look in the mirror and ask yourself what am I doing to rap and what am I about to do to black actors and finally decide to go back being a jehovah's witness.

11.Dr. Dre-ummm Mr. Dre about that training day cameo you made, a word of advicem just leave it at that 1 cameo no more Acting,or rapping please for the sake of your career just stick to producing.

12.Ludacris-Now I Would make a joke about how his acting is ludacris but wouldn't that be ludacris in it's self I mean think about it.

Now this is not a best/worst list at all what im trying to say here in this list is not all rapper actors are bad. Now im just an 18yr old black male and I have seen alot and I just decided to drop some of my knowledge on you.

I've seen several trailers and I'm really surprised at the lack of criticism being directed at the other films these writers/actors/producers are making with regard to their blatant blaxploitation. I mean, come on--embracing American Black culture is one thing, but these movies, with their constant references to "bling bling," bbq's, and barbershops, are succeeding more in making a mockery of it than anything else.

There actually is a character named Bling Bling in this stunning opus...
