It only cost 40k to hire the Columbian police to kill Rafa

I really liked Jon Roberts book more than Max Mermelstein's but Max claimed someone (possibly Rafa's wife) hired the DAS (Columbian police) to go assassinate Rafa. Because they were cops and armed with better weapons, Rafas bodyguards didn't fight back and gave up their weapons willingly.

To me that seems cheap considering how much money everyone was worth in the coke wars. I know with Barry Seal didn't they put out a 7 figure bounty on him, but killing Rafa was about as expensive as a high end Honda.
