It's astounding this movie ever got made.

I had the misfortune to know writer/director James Hunter over several years and he is one of the most narcisstic, dishonest, egomaniacal, bullshi#*ing con artists I have ever known. He might think he's a "playa" but he's a deadbeat fool who's had bill collectors chasing him down long before he ever was able to get this piece of crap made. Sadly, even though he isn't the only one responsible for the crew in Puerto Rico not getting paid (ultimately it is the responsibility of the producers and DEJ), he was probably well aware of what was going on and didn't care. Because with him, it's all about getting what he wants even if it screws over other people. Well, I imagine he is getting what he deserves now, which is pitiful and pathetic reputation in this industry.

They say that for every one success he gains two enemies. You can't stop talent and you never will. That man will look down on the haters from his six figure bank account. LOL

reply

You must be joking. Especially about the house comment on another posting thread. James would never qualify for a mortgage with his credit -- especially if as you said in another post, he didn't get paid.

James is a hack and he knows it. He might be able to fool some people and he may labor in direct-to-DVD and cable crap for years to come, but he'll never be a legitimate writer/director in this town. He's screwed over too many people and quite frankly, doesn't have the talent.

You are sad, get a life of your own

i dunno, i kind of agree with everyone else other than grkfyre. I manage a video store and had the unfortunate mispleasure of watching this piece of garbage. It's mind-boggling how films like these get made under a pretense that it will give some sort of life altering message, when all it does is adhere to stereotypes. I love ving rahmes and pam grier, but why did they do this one? The director has some sort of eye for the camera, but not much, and if rumors are true as to his attitude, then he really has nothing to back his ego. What a waste of talent and film.

reply

You are so correct it is bonechilling. "No Talent" is exactly correct. And he has screwed over way too many people for anyone to ever take him seriously...He is reaping what he's sowing.

NOW ANYONE WHO EVER HAS THE MISFORTUNE OF PARTICIPATING IN ONE OF HIS CONS WILL SEE THESE POSTS AND KNOW: they are dealing with a FAKE a PHONY and, to use your words, "quite frankly", a kid who is overcompensating for the fact that he is short (5'8"), has a small penis (I heard this directly), and grew up with a dad that hated him. That is why he's the nasty, ruthless, selfish egomaniac that he is...(it's so pathetic, because unlike people who have real talent, he has no basis for the narcissism.)

keep up the good work af! time to go watch a REAL movie.
