There is only one thing I can say about this film; it is a promise never fulfilled. Toying with audiences expectations is a tricky way of manipulating emotions, and this film relies on certain moments and scenes to keep the tension going, but after a while tension without climax tires you down and you lose interest.

Could have been much better.

Well yeah, Acacia didn't fulfill the expectations, but at least the director tried to do something innovative. He didn't succeed this time, though.

I really liked this movie. I thought it was sweet and sad. It may have appealed to me because I lost my mother at an early age.
