Stop whispering! Speak up, plz

Another great performance by Al-- you must also see Looking For Richard.
BUT too many times I had to strain to hear the spoken lines (especially by J.Irons in his low rumble) because the actor's delivery was very hushed. I can appreciate that the actor may feel very intimate with their role, but as the viewer I have to hear the lines. Might as well film them from 100 yards away, just seeing them emote. Am I the only one frustrated by this?
