Spell to calm River down

Surprised nobody mentioned it here on the board before.

As a guy whose first language is Russian, i must say I've had a nice chuckle once I caught "Aetah kouram nasmaekh!" [eta kuram na smekh] which is roughly translated as "It would even make a chicken laugh!"

I guess it just put here into an embarrassment state shown as a deep sleep. Go figure.

It was mentioned a few times in years past when this board was more active.

Yeah, they wanted some nonsense phrase that one wouldn't normally just hear.

Let's be bad guys.

It is an item in the Trivia section:

To put River to sleep, Dr. Simon Tam says, "Eta Kooram Nah Smech!," Russian for "This is very ridiculous" (literally "This is for hens to laugh!").

Unlikely to be said accidentally; the major languages are English and Mandarin. So pick an unusual phrase in a language she's unlikely to hear.

There are probably plenty of Russian speakers in the 'verse, but with English and Mandarin the languages of trade, they would probably mostly speak it to each other, and not to River.
