Believe it or not, "rubbage" is a real word. It means the same as rubbish, but it's obsolete English. Why it's being used here, I don't know.

Actually, rubbage is nowadays used to refer to scrap rubber from old car tires. But I doubt that the original poster meant scrap rubber.
