The winks to the camera annoying

Anyone else cringe during those nods to the camera? Breaking the fourth wall ruins the suspension of disbelief and this show requires a lot of that. That and the techno gimmickry they use to defeat alarms and security is a bit far fetched to anyone familiar with it. But Hollywood is just a guilty of that.

Are you kidding? This is NOT Hollywood... this is a BBC show. The winks and the breaking of the fourth wall have been in the show since it's very beginnings.

I agree....with the other responder. Are you nuts? I love it, I think you have not grabbed on to the "Office" winks and nods, like we see in many other shows now, especially here in America.

in the office however the people are ment to know that the cameras are there

it's one of my favourite parts, actually. Expecially Ash's, his winks and nudge nudge expressions are always the best

No, I love it!!

It's a clever device that's been used many times in movies as well as just in Hustle, for drawing the viewer closer to the action. I'm like Nicco and the others. I love it.

I think it's cute as well. It fits in particularly well when they're doing the 'stop time' thing, etc. Yes, it does break the fourth wall (or whatever) but it's always done 'en pointe'.

I really love the series and the various 'theme' episodes. The 'Bollywood' episode was fantastic.

Blame Shakespeare
He did a lot of that.
Second thoughts blame Euripides he was up to that all the time.
