So I watched the show today (6/8), and it was highlights and previously seen moments from this season with Ellen's favorite kid guests. It was billed as an all-new episode, but it was just a clip show, repackaging of stuff we've seen before, only Ellen's introductions were new. It's going to be like this all week long, showing repackaged old footage and calling it a new episode. Then true reruns start, as was done in summers past.

The thing that surprised me was the fact that her audience was still there! It seems that people are so loyal and eager just to be in Ellen's presence, they'll pay for a ticket and come to the studio just to sit and watch clips presented by a famous person. If I was in the audience and expected celebrity guests and new material, I'd feel shafted.

Tickets to her show are free.

That said, I think only that first day of clips had an audience if I'm remembering correctly. Most of the rest of the week, no one was there. And I do agree with you, I'd be pretty bummed if I was finally able to get a ticket and it was just a clip show of stuff already shown in the season. Heck, I was annoyed by it just watching at home, lol.

She clip shows in June of 2015 also.
