Why was a girl dressed as Jack Sparrow ?

there was an interview in that movie and the girl was dressed up as Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean.....why would they put that in LOTR? Unless it was some movie convention...just curious. [confussed]

probably cause shes a freak and trying to be "alternative", Just like the same people that dress up as spiderman to attend the batman premier, or the people that dressed up as darth maul to go to the lord of the rings premier.!

I think it was just a movie convention, I mean, there was a clingon at some point, at what was obviousley a sci-fic convention :D Or a very confused and lost person ;)
