Top bottom film

The movie Kandahar was very different than I expected. I was expecting to be aroused and excited - but in fact I was amazed that this movie was quoted "The best film of Cannes 2001" by Time Magazine because I thought the acting was bad, the story-line was unclear - especially the ending, and I had the feeling that this movie was a failed attempt at being a documentary so it took the shape of fiction. I thought the worst actor was the "Black American doctor" not to mention the lead actress Nafas. Neither one had any drive, passion or charisma. If the camera-men would have shot an open frame on the landscape of Afganistan and said that people actually live and survive in these territories - I think the film would have satisfied me more.
