who was the real killer?

Was Rebecca the killer of her mom, Jake's wife, etc. Or was it Jake? I couldn't tell if the scene on the Malibu balcony was a dream. Was the guy Rebecca picked up in the bar (the guy who delievered her beer) murdered? Lastly, did Rebecca stab herself in the end?

Great idea for a movie, but this movie just didn't have "it."

Rebecca killed Bethany, the reporter, her mother and yes, I think we are lead to believe the guy from the bar ended up dead too. Rebecca wanted to know what it felt like to kill to get more into character. The Malibu "dream-sequence" lasted until she woke up and Belle was talking to her saying "He can't be trusted" and then she killed Jake.

I think Bec was a paranoid schizophrenic and the "voices" (Belle's ghost) told her to kill. She was not a very well lady and not taking her meds certainly didn't help!

All of this is just IMHO of course ... I'd be interested to hear what others thought.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED IF EARTH IS ANOTHER PLANET'S HELL?

I agree. Beck was the real killer.

The only thing I didn't like was the end. I wasn't sure if Jake died or not, and what happened after??? Did Beck have to go to a loony bin???!!! LOL

Thanks for the insight!

I think Rebecca killed herself in the end. Just the way she was holding the ice pick with both hands and swinging it down, it appears to be heading directly towards her stomach. It would be interesting to see a sequel with Jake in the aftermath. He'd probably end up being charged with HER murder.

This movie is proof that a great premise alone can't carry a movie. Billy, now that is an idea..............

OK listen up... This movie was not a remake of anything, it was a modern day twist put on an early 19th century serial killer named Belle Gunness. This happened in my hometown of LaPorte, IN. Any other questions Google her name.
