Does anyone have any idea, how people in India reacted to this film?
I was just wondering.. It was really daring for the director to touch such a sensitive issue.
For me the movie was breathtaking.. I had heard of the film some years back but never got to see it, until now and actually on TV as well.

sharei'm an indian and knew all along about such practices (and even more but only in writing and in paper) but to see it like this... its amazing! everyone in india specially in the rural areas should see this movie.
i heard about this movie from a classmate (girl) a few months ago and was looking for a copy. finally manage to get it and m speechless.
go get a copy and see it for yourself.
i came across this one just now on IMDB. never heard of it before. in my watch-list now.
