Maqbool vs. other Macbeth adaptations

How do you think Maqbool measures up against other interpretations of Macbeth on film, such as Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood"?

I mostly agree with Sabrina. Also for me "Throne of Blood" plays in another league. I hugely like the powerful ingenious version directed by Akira Kurosawa "Throne of Blood (1957)".

But Maqbool is nothing like "Throne of Blood" due to the reasons which Sabrina described. To me Maqbool feels as lifeless and artificial as the versions directed by Polanski (1971) and Welles (1948) which I do not even like. Nevertheless, to be honest, to me faithful Maqbool feels even weaker than these two other versions that are also faithful to the original.

In contrast to Maqbool Omkara exudes for me more power and individuality, for these qualities I like Omkara better, though as a Shakespeare play I dislike Othello far more than Macbeth.
