I stumbled across this on Netflix and thought, as I am currently working on an assignment about the representation of LA as a postmodern city in the films of Michael Mann, I was wondering do any of you think it would be of use. It seems interesting generally but as the deadline comes close I dont want to spend three hours watching some of no use. Any thoughts?

Too late for your assignment, but I think if you wanted to put Mann in a bit of overall context of L.A. on film through the ages, it'd be useful. But it doesn't really go into Mann's movies at all.

And, damn, this was really long! I didn't look at the running time before streaming it and it just kept going and going. Haha. Interesting though.
