My Review

Watching this movie on youtube called Ghosts Never Sleep while I'm working, and not only have I never heard of it, it has no discussion on IMDb whatsoever, and that's peculiar because it stars Faye Dunnaway (China Town, Network), Sean Young (Bladerunner, Stripes), and Tony Goldwyn (Joshua, Scandal)... three very popular actors, and Shea Alexander stole the show. I'm looking forward to Steve Freedman's next film. I'm sure it will be worth watching.

The movie is about an author who is finally getting everything he wants when his screenplay gets picked up, but he can't enjoy it because everyone thinks it's based on a true story of his childhood, and he demands along with his mother that it's not, but something is clearly bothering him about the past, and he cannot move in his life.

Everyone is excellent in it. The ending is interesting, dark, sad... a little disjointed.

A few problems... some pacing, editing problems, makes the movie feel real small, and linear.. the music doesn't seem to fit the mood most of the time, feels very stock and rushed, a soundtrack can really elevate a film, and they chose to save the money, and it hurts the overall production quality.

My Vote: 6/10
