home for the holidays...

no matter who we are, or what we are doing in life, if we have a family, we all like to spend some quality time with them during the holidays.

it is something that i think we all have in common.

and for those of us who are less fortunate, i guarantee to you that they reminisce about quality family time at the very least. (i know i have been lately. this year has not been so good to me in the personal life department.)

i won't go into detail about what happened to me. that's not the point i'm trying to make here at all. i'm actually trying to understand how the entire planet has chosen a specific time of year to get all close and personal. cozy up with each other. etc.

and then it dawned on me. during the first rain of the season. it's cold outside! we have to be inside if we want to stay warm. and if we want to get even warmer, we huddle together with those that we are close to.

could it be that we all get together during the winter time because we have to? to survive?

now i'm not saying that we don't want to be together with the ones we love. we all know that we want to be with them. so maybe we have to huddle together during the winter to survive, but it is our decision as to who to pick to surround ourselves with. and then we all survive together.

and then we all survive together.

and then we all survive together.

and then we all survive.

together.

together.

and then we all survive together.
