Favourite line

Well to me, there was a clear favourite, it was:

Old dude (don't remember his name): "Do you think she'd marry you if you were poor?"
Tuppy: "Do you think I'd marry her if she were ugly?"

So hilarious! I don't know if that's right, word for word, but absolutely cracked me up.. Oscar Wilde is truly magnificent! His plays are always so witty! Loves it :)

"You can't find the truth, you just pick the lie you like best"

I loved that line! It's funny yet so simply true all the same. I also liked the "plain girls cry - pretty girls go shopping" line. :)

"Nothing says rock and roll like a brown suit."

Hah, I forgot about that line. That was awesome. Another fave was

"It's called an altar for a reason...it was made for human sacrifice"

There are many great lines, but the one that made me laugh out loud was this one: "Nine times out of ten, men don't give two pins about 'why', they just feel obliged to take an interest. So, I'll do exactly as you wish, and I'll feel as if we're married already."

The actual line is
"do you think she'd look at you if you were poor?"
"do you think I'd look at her if she were ugly?"

At the time they said those lines, nothing was said about marriage. It was a few seconds later that Tuppy pulled out the ring and showed it to him.

So many, I think my absolute favorite line as of now is "Devilish women are a bother and the good ones are a bore."

But "Crying is the refuge of plain girls, pretty girls go shopping." has long been a favorite.
