game 2 question

So Garry resigned Game 2 because he thought the computer was going to win. But then someone else pointed out that Garry could have gotten a draw instead of a loss...so wasn't it Garry's own haste to resign too quickly that cost him the match?? I mean, even if IBM was cheating in Game 2, Garry still gave up too fast in that game and didn't see the perpetual draw? Is that right?
I would be mad at myself for giving up too soon rather than mad at opponent.

I agree, but he was taken back by the 'human like' playing/capability of the computer - so in effect he would argue that he could not think so rationally or clearly from the point the computer doesn't take the sacrificial pawn. I do not know if he is right or wrong.
