WHY did she give John

Such a hard time???? He was with a woman for 8 years prior to their two week romance. When Martha came back, he needed to give her another chance... which is understandable. But after the second chance fails, and her near-death experience he comes back to her with full intentions to be faithful & commit and they ALL treat him like he's got some kind of disease!!!!

I think most of us would need to give an 8 year relationship one final go. Especially when the new girlfriend has only been with me for two weeks! And also, he was honest about it! If he was truly a bad guy he would have just cheated..... I just don't get women like that. He tried to do the right thing & she flogged him for it for months!

I'm just glad he finally found happiness with her sister

I thought it was wonderful-finally a movie with some strong, smart women. That's so hard to find. The point was that if he still had feelings for his ex he shouldn't have started with someone new. He shouldn't have slept with her and if I recall, he told her he was sure he was over her completely BEFORE she slept with him. I never write on these boards but this movie was so wonderful-especially because these were strong women who didn't take any crap.

Whoa, there, Nicole. Strong, smart women? She seduced him THE NIGHT THEY MET, against her older sister’s express advice. “Maybe I gave you the wrong impression,” she disingenuously says after taking him to her home, changing into something “more comfortable,” and probably OOZING pheromones, with a vagina so soaked that she squished when she walked. He, to his credit, did not press her. An asshole would have. He courteously excused himself, was leaving, AND THEN SHE CALLS HIM BACK TO FUCK HER! Prithee, show me where the “smart” and “strong” were in that scene.

I know you will never see this post. I just don’t want others—of either gender—YES, I wrote “either gender” because there will never be more than Woman and Man—to visit here in the future and buy even 1 molecule of your ill-considered but well-intentioned bullshit.
