I want to remind you all...

...that this ritual began over a hundred years ago, when men frequently portrayed various acts and ideas in SYMBOLIC form. When we watch it now, with our modern eyes, forgetting this important fact, this seems to be a horrible ritual of sacrifice, etc. You know what this was? A bunch of rich men, decided that for one weekend a year there could be a place where these men could go and be hidden from prying eyes, and act any way they want and do anything they want, to basically take the stress off from their high stress jobs. It was incredibly secretive due to the fact that these men are not allowed to act, publicly, the way we be able to. If they act stupid when they get drunk, nations fall.
The ritual that takes place the first night is symbolic to these men that "care" can be destroyed for this weekend only. Basically, even though we all have to go back to our jobs when this weekend is over, for this short time, we have killed "care" and can party and be crazy with no consequence. It is meant as symbolism for this only. When you look back on history and realize how frequently these symbolic rituals were done until we stopped doing them recently, you can see that this burning of the owl doesn't mean a damn thing other than "have fun."
I used to be so nervous about the people at Bohemian Grove, and I will admit that horrible things have begun there, but it's not all of the people. When rich, powerful people gather ANYWHERE, something may come together. It's the same way that the Masonic lodge got that reputation. It's not the Masons - it's a few Masons that use their gathering for harmful purposes.
It's strange. I used to be nervous and scared of these powerful men doing these horrible things, secretly, out in the woods, but it wasn't until a crackpot conspiracy nut (who used A LOT of wrong information in his obviously biased and preconceived reporting) actually showed me the video that my mind was put to rest. After actually watching the ritual, I saw that it was just a bunch of rich old men being eccentric and keeping a 100-year-old ritual alive, even though it doesn't hold the same meaning in modern society (hell, even the music was outdated). So, thank you Alex Jones for proving yet another conspiracy false. Kudos.

yeah but the mere fact that some are freemasons or illuminati and 'pretend' to worship false idols will make em satanits and for that they go to hell. also getting in male prostitutes makes them complete fags, as nixon said Bohemian Grove is the most faggy place hes ever been.

reply

That's the most ignorant thing I've heard in a while. First of all, you have to worship SATAN, in order to be a "satanist." Second of all, as a Mason myself I have never worshipped or pretended to worship anything. If anyone asked me to even pretend to worship anything I'd quit in a second. It's called SYMBOLISM. Look it up. As for homosexuality - quit being a bigot.

reply

the fact that people believe in satan is already ridiculous.

agreed, i wish alex jones would leave the religious overtones out of his movies. christian ideals are just as dangerous as communist, conservative, democratic...and everything else he "preaches" against. i enjoy alex jones' political docs. but found nothing special in this one. seemed like a lame stage play to me, it would have been much more disturbing had it been only the people in the robes and no audience there clapping.

Hollywood used to create, now they just destroy.

reply

Love your neighbor is dangerous? Right on....

reply

Are you idiotic, or just playing? Christian ideals are dangerous as communist? lol. Say something else.

reply

How about you're an ignoramus zealot that fails to comprehend that christianity is also a soft idol workshipping religion. Just look at all those people kneeling and praying to crosses in churches all over the world. It obv also helps the establishment to keep you weak, dumb and under their control. And yes; in a rational and doctrinal sense, they're very similar. There even is an explicit merge of both known as liberation theology. So "akademic", don't make me laugh; more like "kakademic" to me. And finally, something that I'm certain you're bound to get, just STFU !

reply

Keep walking, troll. "Workshipping", lmao. Anything else?

reply

" . . . as nixon said Bohemian Grove is the most faggy place he's ever been."

When was Nixon there? And did he, uh, "participate" in the after hours activities while he was there?

reply

I have to agree. I had never heard of Alex Jones, and heard very little about Bohemian Grove, but this basically killed any kind of "conspiracy" around it. I'm a film student and I try to find something enjoyable out of every movie I see, but this was just crap. He used cheap equipment in an attempt to make it look "real," to no avail.

It's theater. Get over it. Sure the owl is creepy, but so is Alex Jones. He's just some fat old white guy, just like everyone else there.

If I ever meet whoever editted this p.o.s. (I must assume it's Mr. Jones himself), I'm gonna break off his/her fingers so they may never touch film again.

If you are a film student, you need to start paying attention in class and doing some research before you spew ignorance. Nobody (except for you)
questions the authenticy of this footage. It sounds like you're describing The Blair Witch Project. That was BS, this is real. The camerawork is bad because they really had to sneak in there, and the editing... well its mostly just raw footage. But regardless of opinions about Alex Jones, nobody can deny that this was a daring and unique piece of investigative journalism. Before 2000 most people didn't believe this exists. This film provides undisputed and irrefutable evidence. You apparently prefer fiction. I thought The Blair Witch Project was a waste of time for the same reason you give for dissing DSIBG, but I liked this film because it was real. This, of course, was before 9/11 and before most people knew who Alex Jones is. Remeber those days? Might be before your time. There are way too many delusional twerps who think they represent the next generation of film making and your comment about breaking Jones' fingers gives me the impression that you fit into that category bettersaywoop. But I could be wrong. Maybe if you pull your head out of your @$s and get informed you could make good films someday. Hang in there.

Come on...Alex Jones sneaked into a concert and is selling his bootleg for 24,95. It's Disney, it's a cheap play, the focuss is on an opening of an obscure networkingfestival. Obscure only because some people there need to be secure. The play concerns the burning of a puppet that resembles the devilseed and Jones 'documentary' seems to have many simularities.

Alex is a enthusiast and probably means well yet forgets that his editing and narrative is likewise as manipulating as the people and the media he attacks for the very same conclusion.

What denounces any conspiracy is the fact that in order for leaders to do evil they would have to be smart.

Personally I didnt see anything really WRONG with what was going on. Kind of weird freemason like rituals but its definately odd to see all these elite members of society participate in this kind of thing. Even though i was surprised I didnt see worse stuff going on. You have to admit though when events like this are surrounded by secrecy, theres a high possability of something wrong with the situation.

And im not a Alex Jones fanatic or anything i consider most of his works "entertainment" and disagree with many of his theories, but you have to admit hes pretty brave doing some of the things hes done.

This guy pretty much left the viewers nothing to decide except the images we could see, he described the "ritual" as a macabre satanic affair, you wanna know what I thought? (Rhetorical question)

It was a bunch of rich/powerful people trying to be normal, to be outside the public eye for one weekend. And the events that took place was a role play, they had a sound system and acting and it all looked like they were just having some fun. Not my idea of fun but I'm sure it was for them. It was akin to the full-do medieval feast events you're able to attend in America etc.
