Rob Riggle

If you have seen the DVD, the deleted scene called NOSO is just incredible. It seems to be entirely improvised by Riggle and it is hilarious. Good god. He is a real talent. I can see why the Daily Show hired him. He's a comedy genious in the making.
Also, he was apparently a Marine! How many marines do you know that are that funny? I love you Rob Riggle but not in a gay way; strictly platonic ... ok, maybe a little bit gay but I'm confortable enough in my heterosexual masculinaty to admit it.

OK, I just watched it. You're right. It's just sad that that scene is funnier than the entire movie, and it was cut. I agree that it was completely improvised, I couldn't see him being able to remember all of those ridiculous lines, 12 minutes of it.

I didn't know he was on The Daily Show, but that would definitely give me a reason to watch. The stuff he comes up with is great in that deleted scene. Even better is watching Corddry struggling to avoid laughing.

My favorite part is when Riggle says that he would 'cut his head off and kill himself instantly' because there'd be no point in living anymore.

Really people, if you bother renting the movie, you must watch the NOSO deleted scene. Great stuff.

11 minutes of pure improvisation. If you watch it until the end you see that Riggle actually makes Corddry urinate himself from extensive laughter. It's not a put-on or a staged end to the scene...Corddry actually walks off camera at the end and says Riggle made him piss his pants, then proceeds to show the crew the piss mark.

His rant about having an extra hormone that creates his ability for excessive masturbation is top notch stuff. Riggle, a former major in the marines, uses that image to really enhance his comedy. No other comedian could have touched his role as Eddy Reynolds in this flick.

Agreed. I am disappointed I haven't seen him in more stuff. He'd steal the show in any Will Ferrell movie, given the chance.

I wish I had just a copy of the special feature from that DVD, because that's honestly the best part of the movie :) Maybe someone would be kind enough to post it on *Cough* YouTube.

Funny you mention the Ferrell thing. He was a cast member on SNL very briefly in 04-05, it seemed like he could've been a great Ferrell type cast member playing a lot of the loud and scary type roles Ferrell played so often on SNL. But they barely used Riggle at all the one season he was on SNL. They really missed out on someone that could've been awesome on the show. At least "The Daily Show" was smart enough to hire him after he was let go from SNL, he's been kicking ass on "The Daily Show" lately.

If you like Riggle, I highly suggest finding the episode of Human Giant where he is a strong proponent of Corn Chowder. It's amazing!

Anyone know if this improv clip is somewhere viewable on the net?
