Paintball in Hollywood

This movie is independant, but it is the first movie geared towards general audiences containing paintball that I've heard of. I wish the sport could become more widely understood!

Any other narrative paintball movies?

I thought this thread was going to be about how TV and movies often get paintball wrong like having no one where face masks, so you can see the actors, etc.

You know what? It was kind of dumb at times and it wasn't entirely physically accurate (people don't go into tourneys with grav-feeders). But you know what? It was enough about paintball and enough about earning back lost dignity that both elements combined made this a great movie.

thats why its so awesome. those are things that only people that play will pick up on and find hilarious!

"In Your Face"(2002) was the first all paintball movie- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327940/ But not the first movie with paintball in it. There have been many movies with paintball in them long before this although paintball was not the main subject of those movies. "Hostile Intent"(1997) with Rob Lowe, for example, featured paintball as played by the main characters but it was not a paintball movie.

In opening scene for The Living Daylights (James Bond movie), they are doing a training exercise with paintball guns, and that was way back in 1987.

uh... nope. There's a movie called "All's Fair" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096789/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3 ) from 1989 that was all about paintball. SMG-60's were in it.... the first gun to ever get banned from fields because it shot full auto (in 1989!!) albeit with .60 caliber paintballs. Ahhh... the days of stick feeds and handmade squeegies. (Used to steal the foam rounds from my sisters curlers to make them).

Paintball was a hell of a lot of fun back then. Games were 2 hours long and if I shot 100 balls all day it was considered a lot.
