I really want to see this. But I don't know if I should because I'm not a punk.
I joined the Afropunk forum but I just felt weird being there so I left.
So should I get it?
Should I keep on waiting or does love keep on fading away?
I'm far from a punk rocker but the film is excellent. And the forums are very open & not just for music purists. Check it out, you won't regret it.
Oh,please---I loved me some punk, and I've been on the Afropunk board literally since it began. I don't visit there as much any more, but for a long while it was the only site where I could talk to other black folks about liking rock and being black and being thought weird because I liked (and still like) rock 'n roll--which was invented by black folks,anyway. Go back to Afropunk---if you haven't in all these years---it's usually worth it for me. Don't worry about whether being there is so-called "cool" or not---be there because you WANT to be there, not just because it's the "cool" thing to do.
