Which story did you like the most???

The comedy part seemed far more entertaining than the drama/tragedy part... I couldn't wait for the movie to move to the next comedy segment...

John McClane: Look I fail you cover my ass. You fail I cover your ass!

I liked the tragedy better

So did I. The "comedy" part was rather dull, but I found the "tragedy" to be engrossing, but that might just be my crush on Jonny Lee Miller talking.

I really liked both stories, but I was so sad with the tragedy part :( I prefer the comedy portion, I laughed a lot with that.

My first woody allen's film I Watched was this one, and Loved it :)

Tragedy. Woody, although known for his comedies, is quite good at writing serious stuff. One of my favorite movies is Hannah And Her Sisters.

Don't tell me what I can't do!

Easily the comedy - Will F was great. I cound'nt wait for the tragedy scenes to end (was it really that tragic?).

reply

The tragedy. Although I think I enjoyed both pretty much equally.

Both parts were very well written and to me the tragedy part was delivered beautifully whereas the comedy part failed to gain my interest, it was very witty but I think Peet and Ferrell's roles were miscast, more often than not I anxiously waited for the next tragedy segment to arrive.

Regarding the previous poster's opinion on the suicide threat, I think in a way, it was meant to be lame, wasn't it? Melinda was a self-absorbed and dull character that had lost her charm. I thought it was meant to evoke resentment. On the other hand perhaps Mitchell's role is also miscast, I imagine myself feeling differently of the character if it were to be portrayed differently. If she'd injected more pitifulness into the role, it would certainly make me feel for her and her situation but I found her to be obnoxious in a way that was just right. This may or may not be a result of poor acting but it worked for me.

I loved the comedy section! I thought the drama section was too overwrought, but in retrospect, it worked perfectly for the overall film. 10/10

I loved the comedy part-the tragedy part was okay. I thought Hobie was adorable. :)

I much preferred the comedy thread, though both were excellent. It seems like the tragic aspect got a bit more screen time than I would have preferred.
