Nick Kang was annoying, not funny. There's a difference. And also he is no match for CJ. I would love to see Tommy Vercetti, Carl Johnson, Marcus Reed, and the mute from GTA3 just beat the *beep* out of Kang together.

reply

Kang was hilarious to me. He was like one of those cliche wise-cracking movie cops.

Kang could handle that mute from GTA 3 no sweat, that guy sucked. Marcus Reed could probably take care of Vercetti judging from all his years as a New York street kid. But CJ would ruin vercetti and Kang. but Marcus could probably put up a good fight.

With Nick Kang's martial arts and weapons skills he would kick CJs ass all over the place, also with his power as a decorated cop he will take down CJ in more ways than one!

I think it'd be an even match, one worth fighting more than once. But Nick would come in smoother and come out prettier every time.

Nick Kang > CJ

CJ was just a thug and all that, but Nick Kang has skills in Martial Arts, Shooting, Stunt Driving, and whatever academy training he went through to become a Police Officer and then Detective. Plus, he's a better talker overall (not just funnier, even though he is)

Also (although it makes him more realistic than Kang) CJ can become out of shape. Nick Kang can't

reply

CJ is (slightly) realistic. Nick Kang is a Hollywood action hero. CJ can't do all the fancy jumping around while shooting, and eventually he runs out of ammo. However, CJ can use weapons other than a pair of pistols and KEEP them, and I think he might have more health. The grenade launcher that Nick can use is fun and all, but CJ's flamethrowers and rocket launchers are much better.

The cars in True Crime can take a lot more punishment than the GTA cars, and Nick can fire from any angle whereas CJ can only fire from the sides. CJ's pretty much screwed in that regard.

As far as close combat is concerned, I think chainsaw beats martial arts under most circumstances.

Kang would probably win, but CJ has a chance.

reply

Let's not forget CJ has the option to train/build musscle and learns new moves, including karate. Also, if we're talking about what both characters are like when the game is done, CJ is friends with the Yakuza (I'm pretty sure Wuzi was some kind of Asian mob boss) and he co-owns a casino so he's got cash as well as powerful friends. He also owns a private airstrip and has access to a military jet that shoots missiles. He also has expert driving, flying, bike, and hitman weapons skills.

I'm cool with Kang and all, but CJ's got him beat in almost every respect.

CJ is scarier but Nick Kang would kick CJ into the hospital.I've completed both San Andreas and True Crime Streets Of La,In San Andreas you can only learn 3 different combos but in Streets Of La there is more than 10 different combos and grapple moves.

reply

In regards to keeping weapons and all that stuff that CJ can do in NY, I'd rather that junk be left in GTA where it belongs. That was another reason I didn't want the second game, because it was too much like GTA. LA was as well, but NY seemed like a clone to me. I dislike the GTA series

And I do realize I'm a bit late. Mah bad

Russel Wong would kick everybodys ass

Why are all these mofos comparing True Crime with GTAs? What have they possibly got in common?!

reply

Yeah, really.Except for being able to steal cars - the story setup and gameplay have nothing to do with GTA.

They don't compare the games. They compare the main characters and who of them would win in a fight. Wich is silly to do becuase it's so obvious that Kang would win.
