shareIt really IS so true. You'd think with all the things we learned over and over again in US history, i'd have retained it all. Unfortunatly I think I lost it years ago LOL. I remember it never even seeming like we got even close to halfway through the book. Current president? I don't remember even getting to the 40s LOL
shareAt my school we actually have a Coach Sport... makes me giggle. I think I remember we got just past the I.R. in History in eighth grade.

When I was reading the book of Speak, I was desk-reading during history when I read the history quote. I laughed so hard that I got in trouble.
Wow, the civil war? At mine we were lucky enough to get to the Vietnam war. We had to rush through the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s in the last week of class.

It was funny at first, until I realized how true it was. Some years shifted focus to world history in Europe and Asia, but the rest was scattered around the industrial Rev, Civil War, colonies. We finally reached the Reagan presidency and Berlin Wall collapse in jr year. Then when I took AP US History, we skimmed through colonization of native land- Obama presidency all in one year. It flew by so quickly, and not in a good way
