Tommy Guererro in the Chin Ramp scene

I felt bad for Tommy, just sitting on the deck of the ramp for most of that part. Steve, Tony, Mike and Lance were in their element, but as a street skater, tommy was a fish out of water.

While Tommy G. was definately not a vert skater, I would say that he was one of the best, stylish, street skaters of his time. Take a look at his performance in Bones Brigade Video Show (the first Powell-Peralta Video) and especially in Future Primitive (the second PP installment, and one of my personal favorites). Skating today has become a lot more technical and complicated trick-wise, but I have yet to see a skater that was quite as smooth as Guerrero.

I know exactly what you mean. Too many of the videos I've seen recently focus largely on grinding rails and fancy flip tricks. While I respect the skaters who can do it, it isn't nearly as fufilling to watch. I never get bored of watching the Video Show, Animal Chin and Public Domain.

I thought it was cool seein Tommy in the vert scene. I was thinkin "man he can skate vert a little bit too!" granted it wasnt phenomenal but he did some cool basics.

true, and mcgill was the fish out of water in the street scenes...notice how they always cut away when it's his turn to go off the street ramp or he's always last when they're riding in line to hide the fact that he's just basically following everybody.
