The way Cyberpunk was meant to be

Great movie. Meandered too much in the middle. Main character was a scumbag douche bag and the Cyper subplot was more intriguing than the main plot.

This movie will easily be forgotten for its messed up and wasted story premise, but the visuals, aesthetics, cinematography and camera direction were spot on. This movie was the way Cyberpunk was meant to be seen.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it also looked like they recycled a few shots from Scott's Blade Runner? Particularly in a few static high-rise shots of the city. Maybe they just filmed them in the same manner.

Anyway, I'm glad I seen this film...alongside Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Blade Runner, I think this is the most true-to-form Cyberpunk media out there (Gemini Rue is also a cool attempt at noir-Cyberpunk but its a a low-budget indie project).

Natural City could have used a bit more noir-atmosphere to the story and characters, but otherwise Cyberpunk fans have to take what they can get these days.
