When is it coming stateside

I was wondering if anyone knew when the DVD was gonna make it to the USA.

I tried to watch the trailer, but my windows player can not handle it...it plays really choppy and stuff.

I too had problems with the trailer. Really crappy ones. Better to just watch pictures.

It seems like a really beautiful movie. I have no idea when this will be released. Maybe the only way will be to buy pirate dvds from ebay or something.

Or buy the very nicely packaged legitimate 2-disc set from Korea, and make sure the film-makers actually get some money back on their investment :) You can get it for under $25, and it contains decent English subtitles.

its RC3 as much as i know, but there are RC0 Bootlegs around
it was released in germany as RC2 (in german language only tho)

I have the two disc DVD and it's for all regions. I don't think it's a bootleg though, it's from the "HK Video (Taiwan) co." The DVD looks great, but there are no english subtitles on any of the extras - which pisses me off, cause all of the extras look really good.

I had that copy too. I don't really know if it's a bootleg or not. But it's not the official release from KDMedia...even if it says so on the cover. The original release is RC3, has a booklet and a different disc layout. Anyway, I think it's still a good release of the movie. Unfortunately not even the original release has subtitles for the second disc. That's just a typical Korea thing...subtitle the movie, but not the bonus. What a shame b/c the bonus stuff of "Natural City" is really awesome.

reply

Yeah, it is. I just found that out a couple of weeks ago. I think HK video might even be a made up company name (to make it sound legit)

Premieres tonight at the Seattle Intl. Film Festival.
From the synopsis, I can't wait to see it.

Yeah, it's a really excellent homage to the _Blade Runner_ universe. I saw it in Seoul last year, but it was also at the Asian Film Festival in San Francisco just a week ago.

Tartan is releasing it in Feb.

Well, G4's "Attack Of The Show" just featured it in their DVDuesday segment, which is where, every Tuesday, they profile the DVDs coming out that day, and whether to buy, rent, or skip. This one, they said, was definately a Buy.

So, clearly it is officially out in the USA.

Of course, if the fact that it appears now on the upper right of the main page for this movie here doesn't tell you it's out in the USA... you're blind!

Just an FYI for people...it's on Netflix streaming USA until the 18th. Then I assume they will have it available for mail home.
