If this film was a hit, how come there's no record of it?

The sole supporter of this film claims the film was a huge hit, taking $5m, yet there is not a single reputable trade source that confirms his figures. Not Variety, not Hollywood Reporter, not Screen International, not even tracking sites like boxofficemojo. None of the video trades, nor Amazon, where its sales rank is a pitiful 22,556 in DVD and copies go unsold even at $2.75. The highest recorded figue anywhere for the film is box-office of $181,000,000 US, with nothing registered at all for overseas (it opened in virtually no other countries, one-off festival screenings aside).

Simple question. Can anyone - anyone at all - provide proof from a reputable source that this film didn't prove a flop? Shouldn't be too difficult - evn today an indie making the alleged $5m would be a big, big story.

Funny how every time you're asked a simple direct question, you change the subject. The thread is not about your multiple fake ids. It's about why you cannot prvide a single piece of evidence from a reputable source to support your claim that this film made $5m on the release costs of $887,000.

The question remains. If this film was such a hit, why doesn't a single outside source list this film's entire take as more than $181,000?

We're still waiting.

I don't know. I do know what I was told by those involved. I also know that while no one on the internet seems to have any information about the film after the 2nd week, it lasted at my theater for 4 and it opened up at additional theaters weeks after the Aug 5th release. Where are the tallies for those venues, not to mention the DVD sales and international take.

Believe what you want. The film made $5 mil. I don't have to prove a thing to the likes of you. The proof is in the film.

You've been insisting you're the big insider in the biz, and all of a sudden you say "I don't know." For 8 months you've been insisting not only that you know but you have proof - proof you repeatedly refuse to provide when asked.

Why no tallies after the first week? Simple. Either they fell so low that the distributor didn't report them (which means it flopped) or it was too low to even register on even the top 50 chart (which means it flopped).

Where are the tallies for the international release? What international release?

The film didn't open in more than a couple of Nordic territories, which can't have accounted for more than five figures. The only other screenings it had were one-offs in a few very minor overseas festivals. And as much as you claim otherwise, it didn't open in countries lie the UK or Israel, nor did it go to DVD there.

DVD sales and rentals would be recorded in the trades if it made the charts. It obviously didn't, meaning it flopped.

You have been harassing and libelling posters on the IMDB for 8 months with your lies. You do have to prove something. You claim time and again everyone else is lying, yet when it comes time for you to put up, you hide behind weasel words.

You lied. You got called out on it and caught out as you have on all your lies.

Time to get a life, little man.

We've asked time and again for you to prove that the film was a hit. Every single time you've refused to do so because no outside source cnfirms your fantasies and lies. If it were so easy to prove your case, you'd have done it long, long ago instead of constantly changng the subject.

I believe your pants are on fire, Chubby.

And yet under your other ID, Steve, you claim it made $5m. Considering your own figures for the release cost were $887,000, even if the cinemas showed it for nothing (which they don't) it would have lost over $700,000.

Big, big flop.

Wow, Steve Marcus might break the record at IMDB for having his messages deleted.
As for "MY Date With Drew" is has been consigned to showings at cable at 3.00 in the morning when about three people are watching.
