Paranormal Activity's success shows up what a flop this was

Steve Marcus and his army of sock puppies have been claiming this floperoo was a huge hit for years despite having no box-office figures to back it up. Except the ones he makes up when he clams it made $5m profit in cinemas when mojo has it at $262,770 worldwide. That would not have covered the cost to sell the film and strike the prints. Look at how well Paranormal Activity did on even fewer cinemas than Withdrew did. In two weeks it did three-quarters of a million. Three times more than Withdrew in its entire worldwide run. Now it's at $62m.

That's a real inspiring dream come true success story. From filmmakers who didn't have to stalk to do it.
