Hmmm... I actually thought this was a pretty decent movie, but that may just be because I like James Spader. I thought he did a pretty good job as 'the guy you love to hate' and granted, the rest of the actors had rather mediocre performances, but hey, I liked it better than many other movies I've seen lately.

I just watched this movie... and was disappointed. It was more like a made for TV Sunday night movie... I really do enjoy James Spader, he is a fantastic actor and did great in his part. He actually helped this poor movie.
But the overall plot, was dumb and useless. It could of been more suspenseful and scarier... I just thought how stupid of an idea for James' character to do all of this just for a reaction out of people.
It was just so unbelievable, and the actors involved just didn't take anything very seriously....
So thumbs down for me.... come on James... you can get better scripts than this!
I watched it last week, and I hate to say that I was pretty disappointed too. I'm a big fan of James Spader's work. He was the highlight of the last season of "The Practice" in my mind, and I love watching "Boston Legal." He was the only interesting thing in this movie. I actually wanted him to come out on top believe it or not instead of that predictable joke of an ending. Cut me a break. The protagonist was a wimp. It's a bad sign if you're rooting for the villain in the movie instead of the other guy. I can kind of see why this was one of those straight to video flicks despite all of the names attached to the project. The plot was half baked at best. James could have done so much better. If he's looking for good stories, I'm sure we could come up with a few that would be better than this. Heck, going to the dentist would have bigger thrills than that movie, because you don't know what to expect when you're there. Let's hope he thinks a little more carefully the next time around.

After seeing previews for this movie, I ran to rent it and was very excited to see James Spader in another creepy role. But I was sorely dissapointed. The script had the potential to be a great thriller but the movie was so anti-climatic and poorly acted.
Boo.
