mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ive heard that this movie is difficult to understand. that it is too complicated. it really isnt. its a rather ridiculous movie that is just meh. i have seen much better and i have definitely seen much worse.
the only thing that confused me were the credits at the end on the dvd. lacey chabert is listed as Allison French. the same last name as matt davis' character and his wife, played by robin tunney. so i spent the longest time wondering: ok, unless she was married to matt's character at some point (maybe thats why she's constantly hitting on him?) then shouldnt she have the last name henderson?
but looking on imdb they corrected the mistake and now the world makes sense again.
anyway, i hardly think this is so horrible and not worth a rental. i'm a james spader fan and i bought it for $8. i'm hardly crying over it and wishing i had my money and my 1h 28 minutes back. its seriously really not that bad.

I agree. I thought the movie had a solid plot and had many interesting twists. I would recommend it.

I liked it too.

I liked it too, not too hard to follow. It was nice to watch too:;;;;;;;;;; beautiful people, fancy cars, famtastic homes, big hotels, nice clothes, beautiful Seattle scenery, etc..

Well it wasn't terrible, but file under the overblown tripe category. lol

I guess I was particularly drawn to this movie because not to far into watching it I realized it was filmed in my second home town Spokane , Washington. There are even a few film shots of a friends house driving down Wall st and the wifes parents house was a restaraunt called Patsy Clarks ( not been a place of business for a while ). I just loved the challenge of finding out where every film shot was taken at. Not to mention I'm a volvo freak and any film where the main character drives a volvo gets points with me ( yes I'm a dork )
I love the james spader movie "secretary"
(My spelling is bad people duh lol u get the point)

I missed the first seven minutes of the film and I didn't find it too complicated to follow. There are so many posts on here from people who didn't understand anything about the film. Anything at all. They post with like thirty question. And once they get a reply which points out a few obvious answers they're like "I didn't get that tattoo thing at all! Or the swapped DNA". uh. you mean the blatantly pointed out things in the movie right? It really wasn't hard to understand. You just had to pay attention. But then again there are always people on boards who miss the simplest (and often very blatant) things in movies. I think they're the type of people who like to chat during the film. I say if your not going to pay attention then just watch an action flick. Usually you can miss half the movie and still understand everything fully.

For the first half of the movie I was more or less riveted to my seat. Then it kinda went downhill. Overall it was an okay movie. Definately nothing I'd buy but okay way to spend a spare hour and a half.

I agree that it was easier to understand and a better movie than was suggested on other threads.

I had two main issues. One was that we weren't told enough about Ashbury's motives. Of the 4 men at the Tuesday night club we only had information on the Congressman and Sowgrass. The newspaper owner's 'sin' was never revealed and so we had no idea why his daughter had to grant Ashbury sexual favours. Mr Davis (Mr Miano) wasn't explained at all.

Secondly, the killing of Ashbury didn't make sense. If Chris was waiting with a gun to witness the confrontation between Ashbury and Harrison would he have allowed Ashbury to shoot Harrison? Would Ashbury have shot only to wound? How could Chris have known this?

Also, were we meant to believe at the end that Harrison was carrying on where Ashbury had left off?

If they had cut those overhead shots of cars travelling from place to place and the subplot about Wyn's sister maybe they would have been able to make the storyline easier to follow. Or maybe the movie was was just badly edited.

I didn't get it at all. Especially ***SPOILER ALERT*** why anyone would give their worst enemy a loaded gun. It seems a very risky way to try and incriminate someone. More of the reasons I disliked it are in my amazon.co.uk review, although I see someone came along and gave it 3 stars, so now it has an average of 2 1/2.

I got it up to the last scene, with the Frenches in a mansion and Harrison telling her he has to go to the Tuesday night group. I seriously couldn't believe he would have picked up where Ashbury left off. He saw what Ashbury had done to these men.
