Fun flick, not that hard to follow (Spoilers)

I don't understand what all the whining is about. It's a story about a wealthy man who enjoys the power of toying with other peoples' lives. He has the most fun with the wealthy set, but he clearly has some blackmail power over several other people who aren't members of The Tuesday Night Club, e.g. the police chief.

I really liked the detail that Ashbury knew the detective's weakness. That went right along with his character's interest in collecting information about behavior "flaws." You never know when you're going to get the opportunity to exploit someone, although he miscalculated that one just a bit.

All together, it was a clever, twisty little plot that was quite original.
