ok, i havent seen this movie, but i saw the first movie last night and i was reminded of my childhood, im now in my 20s, i would like to know what the deal is with Littlefoot's father as he was never seen in the first movie,
so what happened, does it explain why his father wasn't around and give a backstory in regards to his mother and father?

I saw this movie three times and Brom says he left to find a safe place for Littlefoot to grow up. Probably was searching for the Great Valley.
