I can remember when I bought The X Factor, it was Oct'95 in St. John's Newfoundland. I had walked to the mall to get it as I had seen in Metal Hammer that it was due to be released. The day was overcast and windy but the it wasn't cold, it was a Thursday afternoon.

Anyway, I came back to my apartment and sat down and played it from start to finish. I was blown awa how good it was, it was something completley different and Blazes voice sounded great on the album. The album was dark and it just suited the weather that day.

Blaze was really good during his Maiden days and it shouldn't be looked at a dark period, it was really interesting that Harris could come up with an album like this while overcoming personal things in his life.

2AM is such a great song and I would love to play it as a set in my acoustic gigs some day.
