The arrangement with the drug kingpin was too annoying

Paul: "We need $30,000 worth of equipment to bring the coke up, non refundable."

Exceedingly dense drug kingpin: "Sure" - Not hesitating for a second.

How the hell could you justify that or accept it, any fool knows they could just carry it up bit by bit or haul bigger amounts up by hand in a plain old net.

Also, they somehow need $30,000 worth of equipment yet it's assumed with all the organisation that much equipment would entail, 12 hours for the entire operation should be fine.

Just a stupid stupid part of the plot.
