its a copy of a Korean movie 'My Sassy girl'. Atleast bollywood should give credit where its due instead of blatantly plagiarizing other peoples work.

it's already been stated that it's a copy of 'When Harry met Sally', i actually prefer 'Hum Tum'. I agree though, that bollywood should give credit where its due instead of blatantly plagiarizing other peoples work. What i dnt get is y they have never been sued? not that i want them to be but i just wonder how they get away with it.

hmm.. I havent watched 'When Harry met Sally' but I think the story of 'My Sassy Girl' was closer to 'Hum Tum'. In My Sassy Girl, the girl had someone who died similar to Hum Tum, they're seperated in the end for couple of years also, and the guy sells his journals and becomes a famous script writer, similar to saif ali selling his cartoons. Ofcourse, there're more similarities. Theres also a hollywood version of this movie coming out with Elisha Cuthbert in it.

idk why it reminded me of the movie a lot like love
but that movie was made in 2005 while hum tum was made in 2004 so its not a copy or anything

It is not at all a copy of My Sassy Girl ...this movie was badly remade as "Ugly Aur Pagli". About Hum Tum ...the movie is an Indianised version of " When Harry Met Sally"

Dude, its not a remake. They dont even have the rights to do that. They just copy or just rip off the hole movie then if someone notice that the movie aint a original, they say. Its a remake. Write a own damn story or just quit doing movies

In my opinion its not a copy of any movie. Its a very simple story line told many times before and would be told many times in future.
