Info at the back of my DVD is wrong - anyone else?

In the back of my DVD it says that the Gospel of John is written by John the Baptist.

Isn't this not accurate? Because the "John" who wrote the gospel is one of the 12 apostles. I mean that is basically one of the main points of this film?

Anyone else has this wrong information? I am now confused... To anyone who'll be willing to clarify, thanks in advance!

John the Apostle, son of Zebedee and the brother of James was most likely the "beloved disciple". The reason why John the Apostle didn't identify himself seems to go back to John the Baptist's saying in John 3:30, "He must increase, but I must decrease."

John the Baptist is confirmed by the historian Josephus and the synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) to have been beheaded by Herod Antipas. Herod Antipas was the same Herod that Pontius Pilate sent Jesus to as recorded in Luke's Gospel.

But no, mine says it was written by the Apostle John.

I am a proud believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is some pretty compelling evidence in the scriptures which points to "the disciple whom Jesus loved" as being Lazarus, and not John the Apostle.
